CIS Pledge to Plant a Tree for Every vBubble Sold.

As a pledge to existing customers and as a promise on our new website CIS pledges to  plant a tree for every vBubble virtual server sold in 2011.

Richard Marsh, CIS’s director, commented, “CIS has a keen interest in developing and providing green technologies to new and existing customers. Helping many of them earn ISO 14001 within the year”. We are firm believers that Cloud technology is one of the best ways to control your energy impact and reduce your companies carbon footprint, planting trees for every cloud server sold is a great idea, not only do we reduce carbon, its a great way for us to help the environment.”

The trees, a selection of oak, poplar and hornbeam, will be planted in association with Oxtreegen, an organisation that plants trees in newly established woodlands within the UK where they can fulfil their natural lifespan, nurtured and cared for by professionals. Each tree will offset approximately1 tonne of carbon in its lifetime, helping CIS and its customers reduce their carbon footprint even further.

Richard Marsh, CIS’s director, commented, “Marketing that we are a ‘Green’ company and demonstrating it are different things, anybody calculating the carbon reduction involved in adopting Cloud technologies would know that this is a serious reduction, CIS is constantly look for other ways to demonstrate its commitment to reducing the carbon impact of our own business and that of our customers. CIS is expecting 2011 to be a rush on environmental initiatives and green technologies being adopted, our Cloud has seen 300% growth in the last 9 months, this is a general trend, filtering down from the larger corporates right through to the SME market, this year we expect to see similar growth in adoption of green technologies.”
